Inside Weddings | Chicago and Vintage C.S. Lewis Books
I simply adore couples who are madly in love, meet Lindsay and Gregg... they courted through many many letters and many phone conversations weathering through a long distance relationship.  Whoever said long distance doesn't work hasn't met this phenomenal couple.  The weather was freezing, it hailed and rained during our shoot... Chicago is cold for sure but they have the warmest people and for that I adore Chicago.  Plus Chicago hot dogs are out of this world good!  The groomsmen were hilarious, they would start throwing leave and jumping around and start singing all of a sudden all orchestrated themselves, they were fun.  Lindsay took months collecting vintage C.S. Lewis books to share with her guest, how sweet is that?  Congratulations Lindsay and Gregg, may your lives be filled with bliss!  You've weathered through the distance and you can conquered the world!  Take a peak into their wedding slide show at www.ruettgers.com/chicago

Inside Weddings | blue, off white and gold inspiration
Jiho is creative and a magazine publisher for new indie artist and Shirley is an account executive at an ad agency.  They are two phenomenal people in love.  They know and understand each other and they're really sweet together.  Another toast where they say "it's about time!"... for some reason I hear that a lot at weddings.  A sign that they've gone through many years of building their love and their relationship.  And it was really touching to be there to see the love and the support they've had through the years.  There were lots of emotional tears and laughter and that makes for a perfect wedding.  Jiho is quite shy in front of the camera and that was one of their concerns when we met for a consultation, but I knew he would be alright and he was more than alright.  I think he looks swell!  Shirley has exquisite taste, you can tell by her selection in her gown and her bridesmaids dresses.  All the girls wore gold heels, you can't get better than that.  The dresses were gorgeous and I thought they looked ethereal.   I couldn't help to just fall in love with this phenomenal couple and it was a privilege to be a part of their phenomenal day.

Inside Weddings | MacKenzie and Craig
I adore weddings and couples who are madly in love with one another.  So it's no surprise to me that we would have a blast at this wedding.  MacKenzie is beautiful, smart, and chic and Craig is that cool good looking guy that's funny and witty and you just want to be around him.  Together they make one power couple.  I love the way Craig just adores and delights in MacKenzie and I love the way MacKenzie feels completely loved when she's with Craig.

MacKenzie and I chatted many times prior to her wedding about her wedding details and let me tell ya, I was excited!  I knew when she did her boudoir session with me that her wedding was going to be simply fabulous coz she had the cutest shoes collection.  I'll post some pictures from our boudoir session another day coz it was a rockin' session.

Her main color was black and white.  Her invitations had black lace design on it and it was a peak into what her wedding would be like. She wore St. Pucci gown with custom black lace waist trim with no veil but fabulous black ribbon headbands in her hair.  Her details had black lace trimmings at the reception, even their cocktail bar had a ice sculptor with black details.  There was lots of wall details and feathers, and chandelier... it was simply chic!  She had a gorgeous chandelier brought in just for the reception.  She told me that it wasn't going to be your traditional wedding reception and she was so right about that.  I love it when a bride puts her own style and twist into her wedding so that it's unique and distinctively hers.  I can go on and on but let's move onto the wedding photos...
